The Idea
Golden Lion Carving Co. is a Veteran-owned custom woodworking business born from a passion for working with wood by hand. From watching This Old House and The New Yankee Workshop to actually using hand tools to make something from nothing. What started a year ago in a garage has grown into a full-fledged craft studio producing custom cutting boards, intricate CNC carvings, and personalized keepsakes and family heirlooms.
The Inspiration
The Golden Lion Carving Co. is named in honor of my late Grandfather, Dan Kiely, the “last of the good guys” from the Greatest Generation. He served in the Battle of the Bulge in World War II, where he received two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star with the 106th Infantry Division. The Golden Lions.
